Tentative Bookings: will be held for a period of 14 days. The function space will be released without notice after this time unless a deposit and confirmation form has been received.
Bookings: a non-refundable deposit of $500 will secure your booking. Should you wish to cancel a confirmed booking, notification must be received in writing, and a refund of $250 will be paid only if the room is rebooked.
Pricing: prices quoted are based on a minimum of 75 full paying guests (in the Riverview Room). We are happy to quote on functions with smaller numbers. Room Hire is charged at a flat $500.00 for the duration of the function, pricing on current packages becomes fixed, regardless of when your function date is, once the deposit is received.
Minimum spend: for Monday to Thursday functions is $1,500. Functions booked on a public holiday will incur a 10% surcharge, please ask your function coordinator for a quote prior to booking. Prices are current as at 1st July, 2011. Every endeavour is made to maintain prices as printed, however some prices may be subject to change. Management reserves the right to substitute items subject to availability.
Beverages: Waters Edge is a licensed venue and does not permit guests to bring their own alcohol this includes bonbonnieres and other gifts. The organiser is responsible in ensuring guests abide by this request. Our staff are responsible servers of alcohol and as such will not serve patrons who are under the age of 18 or who do not supply valid ID. We will not serve any patron who appears affected by alcohol, regardless of how you are paying for beverages.
Food: No food may be brought into Waters Edge without prior approval from management.
Special Meals: we are happy to cater to any of your guests with special dietary requirements. Please let us know when you finalise menu details 14 days prior to your event.
Menu and Function Details: the menu is required no less than 14 days prior to the event. Final numbers and final function details are required 7 days prior to the event. After this date numbers cannot be decreased. Lunch functions are to finish by 4pm allowing time to set up for evening events.
Payment: full payment is required 7 days prior to your function date. Payment may be made by cash, cheque, direct debit or credit card. American Express or Diners can also be used however will incur a 3% surcharge. When opting for beverages on consumption, we will invoice you half the estimated spend prior to the function date, with the balance to be paid at the end of your function, unless otherwise organised with the manager.
Suppliers and Decorators: the venue has no restriction on suppliers however please advise your function co-ordinator who is delivering, contact numbers and times of deliveries. Waters Edge does not allow the use of party poppers, confetti, rice, sprinkles or glitter at the venue.
Entertainment: due to sound level requirements in our area, we cannot have drums, bass guitars or other musical instruments on site that disturb the local residents. All outdoor events must conclude by 7pm. Please discuss with your function coordinator prior to booking any live acts.
Closing Times: the venue closes at midnight. Regretfully, no extensions are permitted.
Damage to Property: any damage to Waters Edge’s property; function room fixtures or fittings made by your guests will be your responsibility and liability, and you will subsequently be charged to replace or repair the damage.
Insurance: Waters Edge maintains full public liability insurance however regretfully this does not cover the damage or loss of guest’s property to, during, or after a function.
