Situated on the edge of the Swan River at the entrance to the Swan Valley, Waters Edge Estate offers a classic combination of excellent Western Australian wines, great food and an outstanding location. This historical estate boasts its own jetty access, sweeping lawns, rose gardens, a restaurant to cater for Captain Cook Cruises' passengers and a unique function centre. The winery houses Western Australia’s oldest underground wine cellar, complete with its very own range of premium wines.
Established in 1829, this historic site, now known as Waters Edge Estate, produced Western Australia’s very first vintages. The buildings stand on the prime waterfront section of what was once a colonial land grant, given to one Thomas Waters, a botanist who came to Western Australia on the first fleet.
Today, Waters Edge Estate offers a number of tranquil areas ideal for functions and special occasions. With its location right on the edge of the Swan River, the winery is easily accessible by both road and river and is one of Perth’s most unique and attractive venues.
This picturesque riverside setting has ample parking facilities for cars and coaches. For those who wish to combine their visit with a river cruise from Perth, regular daily options are available with Captain Cook Cruises. Private cruise charters can also be arranged for all occasions.
Whether it be for premium wine tasting, a corporate event, a family gathering or that special celebration, Waters Edge Estate has the perfect venue and package to suit.
